According to the Pew Research Center, lack of financial resources is the number one reason why Hispanics don’t complete their STEM degree. And currently, SHPE is only able to award scholarships to 20 percent of the students who apply. Let’s all work together to help more members. Every dollar donated helps our members succeed.
PRIDE SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2021 as an endowment by Board Members Dr. Emily Allen, Will Davis, and Diana Gomez, the SHPE Pride Scholarship is designed to recognize students who are out and proud, support an inclusive SHPE Familia, and make a difference for the LGBTQ and Hispanic community.
There are many ways that individuals, corporations, and foundations can support SHPE through philanthropic giving, including:
MATCHING GIFTS
You or your spouse may work for a company or serve on a corporate board with a matching gifts program. Donors who work for such a company can double or sometimes triple their contribution. Please contact your human resources office to determine if your company has a matching gifts program and how you can leverage your gift to benefit the mission of SHPE.

IRA OR RETIREMENT PLANS

DONOR ADVISED FUND
If you have a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) you can quickly and easily recommend grants to SHPE! When you make a gift to SHPE through your donor-advised fund, we do not receive any information that identifies you as the donor.
